1）The veneer dryer is mainly composed of two parts, a drying section and a cooling section. The drying section is used to heat the veneer and accelerate the discharge of moisture from the veneer through the circulation of hot air. The drying section can be composed of several sub-chambers with the same mechanism. Generally, the length of each sub-chamber is about 2m. The longer the drying section, the faster the veneer conveying speed, and the higher the efficiency of the dryer.

2）The cooling section is to ventilate and cool the veneer during the process of conveying the veneer under pressure. One is to eliminate the internal stress of the veneer and make the veneer flat; the other is to evaporate part of the moisture by using the temperature difference between the middle of the veneer and the low surface of the veneer. The cooling section is generally composed of 1-2 sub-chambers.

3）Mesh belt dryers generally use upper and lower double circulating mesh belts to convey veneers. The lower mesh belt mainly serves as a conveying function, and the upper mesh is used to compress the veneers. Under the action of an appropriate compression force, the veneers are prevented from being deformed during drying. The roller veneer dryer has many pairs of upper and lower rollers, which are driven by the frictional force of the rotation of the pair of rollers to drive the veneer forward. This conveying method is suitable for conveying veneers with a thickness of 1.0mm or more. Because the distance between the front and rear rollers of the roller veneer dryer cannot be too small, it cannot be used to convey thin veneers. However, mesh belt transmission is not allowed.

4）Generally, veneers with a thickness of 0.5mm or more can be transmitted smoothly. However, the pressing force conveyed by the roller is relatively large, so the veneer dried by the roller dryer has good flatness.
