Can wood veneer be repaired?

Veneer is a thin sheet of wood either sliced or peeled from a log or flitch. There is Grade A, Grade B and Grade C wood veneer.

A Grade-The veneershall be smooth,tight cut and full length. This grade of wood veneer can be used as the face veneer in plywood.

B Grade-The veneer's open defects such as knots,holes or splits are filled. This grade of veneer will be used as the core veneer.

Wood veneer with low grade after patching can be improved. Seriously defected veneer can't improve the grade even after repairing. If so, these veneer will be cut to suitable size.
