Purpose and requirements of wood debarking
Nov 6,2020
The wood bark is loose and has no use value in the production of plywood. The phloem of the bark tends to block the knife door when peeling, and the rotary knife becomes blunt quickly, and the rotary peeling cannot be carried out normally; the bark often contains metal objects and sand and other debris, such as direct rotary peeling will damage the rotary knife. Affect normal wood veneer peeling and veneer quality. Therefore, the wood section must be peeled before peeling.
Requirements for wood debarking equipment: all the bark should be stripped off, and the xylem should not be damaged during the debarking operation, otherwise the yield rate will be affected.
The equipment used should have high efficiency, low power consumption, simple structure, and not be affected by the tree species, diameter, length, shape, etc. of the wood section, while saving manpower.
